12 Days of Christmas Day 5: Giving Scarves.

So a while ago, I made this post here and I am proud to say that I have all of the scarves done! And today I went out to give away each of the scarfs I've made.

I feel so bad that I cannot do anything more to help these people. What I would love to do is get a big pot full of soup, and give that out as well. But I don't have the means for it. This will not be the last charity project I do, I can assure you of that.

So, I packed up all of the scarfs and headed down town. It's been such a heart wrenching day, and so harrowing. It makes one feel very thankful for what they have. They looked so happy getting something nice as a Christmas gift.

I think the favourite people I gave scarfs to were two guys sitting out with a banjo, they were out traveling around Ontario, and they had run out of gas. I sat down, and jammed with them for them for a bit. It was really interesting to sit an chat with them. So, I hope they made it home alright, and that they were kept warm.

I did ask to take photos, but most of the people didn't want their photos taken, and so I didn't take a lot of photos.

I know a lot of people didn't have mittens or gloves, so I think when I do this again next year, I'm going to knit mittens. I do want to continue this little project, and keep giving things to people who need them more than I do.

I hope you all had a good day, and I'll see you tomorrow.

Happy Holidays.

  1. Wow, that's amazing! I'd be too shy to talk to strangers like that, but you have done a very lovely and generous thing.
    Happy holidays! Katie.
